CMS expands TAVR Medicare coverage to asymptomatic patients

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services expanded Medicare coverage for transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) to include severe aortic stenosis patients without symptoms. Analysts noted this policy change will especially benefit Edwards Lifesciences and expand treatment access.
