CEM on par with MRI for breast cancer diagnosis, local staging

Contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) demonstrated equivalent diagnostic performance to MRI in a prospective study, achieving perfect sensitivity and negative predictive value for breast cancer diagnosis and local staging. This finding suggests CEM may offer an alternative imaging modality for certain breast cancer evaluation applications.
